Since leaving the U.S. Army as a Captain in 1981, Richard Chappo has immersed himself in all facets of debt financing to include Corporate, Leasing, Capital Equipment, Real Estate, Contract and Project Financings. He has worked for Chase, Marine Midland, NYNEX, Hunter, Keith, Marshall and his own firm which he founded in 1989, Chappo & Co., Inc. and now Chappo LLC.
His relationships with Institutional Lenders began with Life Insurance Company lenders. Many of those relationships began with Analysts who now lead their organizations as Chief Investment Officers and Portfolio Managers. As business opportunities widened, Richard expanded his relationships to many Banks, Finance Companies and Specialty Lenders such as Bridge, Mezzanine and Equity sources.
Richard’s objective has always been to provide clients their “wish list” consistent with what he understood that his various capital sources could provide. Not only did every transaction have to be good for the client, but it also had to be attractive and fair to his lenders.
Currently, Richard’s goal is to make full advantage of his experiences, relationships and knowledge of the financial markets. To use those assets to complete ever larger and more complex transactions. To be innovative, tenacious and find a way to get it done.
